A Vibrant Community Where Students Thrive
At Waterloo Christian School, student life is about more than just academics; it’s about fostering a supportive and engaging environment where students can grow in their faith, discover their passions, and develop lasting friendships. Our school is a place where students are encouraged to be themselves, explore new opportunities, and make the most of their educational journey.
Spiritual Growth:
- Chapel Services: Weekly chapel services bring our student body together for worship, prayer, and biblical teaching. These gatherings are a time for students to deepen their relationship with God and reflect on His Word.
- Daily Bible Instruction: Under the instruction of qualified teachers, students receive daily Bible instruction in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Co-Curricular Activities:
- Athletics: We offer a range of sports, including volleyball, football, cross-country, basketball, soccer, golf, and track and field. Our athletic programs focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and developing physical skills while honoring God through competition.
- Fine Arts: Students can express their creativity through our fine arts program, which includes band, choir, drama, visual arts, and theatrical arts. These activities provide a platform for artistic exploration and performance.
Leadership and Service:
- Student Council: Our student council gives students a voice in school matters and a chance to develop leadership skills by organizing events and initiatives that enhance school spirit and community engagement.
- Service Projects: We emphasize the importance of serving others, and our students participate in various service projects throughout the year, impacting both our local community and beyond.
School Traditions
- We have a variety of fun school traditions, such as Homecoming, throughout the school year in order to build community!
- Class Trips: We encourage our teachers to get out of the classroom and learn outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Safety and Well-Being:
- Campus Safety: The safety of our students is a top priority. We have layers of measures in place to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for all.
- Counseling Services: We partner with Candeo Counseling Services to create space for on-site services. Our teachers are trained to nurture the whole child, including in the emotional and mental well-being of students entrusted to our care.
At Waterloo Christian School, student life is about nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Our students are encouraged to pursue their interests, embrace their unique gifts, and become confident, compassionate individuals ready to serve and lead in the world.
