The Regent Mascot: A Symbol of Leadership and Excellence
- The Regent stands as a proud symbol of our community’s values and aspirations. The term “Regent” refers to a person who governs or rules, often in the absence of a sovereign. It embodies qualities of leadership, authority, and responsibility—traits that we strive to instill in every student.
- The Regent mascot represents our commitment to developing young leaders who are equipped to serve and lead with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. As Regents, our students are encouraged to embrace their God-given talents and use them to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
- In the realm of athletics, the Regent spirit comes to life as our teams take to the field or court. Our athletes embody the Regent qualities by demonstrating sportsmanship, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. They lead by example, showing that true victory lies not just in the score, but in the character and effort displayed.

Building Character through Athletics
At Waterloo Christian School, we believe that athletics are an integral part of our students’ development, teaching valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Our athletic programs aim to cultivate not only physical skills but also character and sportsmanship, all while honoring God through our actions on and off the field.
Athletic Philosophy
- Our athletic programs are designed to provide a competitive and enjoyable experience for all students, regardless of their skill level. We focus on developing the whole athlete, emphasizing character, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- We encourage our athletes to strive for excellence in both their sports and academic pursuits, recognizing the importance of balance and commitment.
Get Involved
- We encourage all students to explore our athletic offerings and consider joining a team. Participating in sports is a great way to build friendships, develop leadership skills, and create lasting memories.
- Parents and families are invited to support our teams by attending games and events and volunteering!
